TCR Engineering reaches work it cannot reach alone through five named alliances, each covering a capability or a market the laboratory in Navi Mumbai does not itself hold: Approved Group International for forensic investigation across Southeast Asia, Planys Technologies for underwater robotic inspection in India, Bizpeer for vendor inspection in Korea, Chugai Technos for Japan, and BIEWU International Trading for Qatar. Each is an alliance, not a subsidiary: the testing and the signature stay with TCR.
Approved Group International (Malaysia Alliance)
Approved Group International (AGI) is TCR's Malaysia alliance partner.
Founded in 2001, AGI brings together forensic scientists and engineers and experienced restoration specialists under one roof, with in-house teams covering forensic engineering, fire and explosion forensics, vehicle accident investigation, digital forensics, damage assessment (including plant and machinery, lift, escalator, and lightning damage), disaster restoration, and business continuity management including plant residual life analysis. AGI operates in more than 22 countries and works for the loss adjuster, insurer, reinsurer, broker, and legal community, with work product built to pass legal scrutiny.
For TCR, the alliance extends the group's failure investigation and insurance referee practice into Southeast Asia and gives AGI access to NABL-accredited laboratory evidence, in-situ metallography, and fitness for service engineering behind its forensic conclusions. The two firms present a combined incident-to-laboratory response on major industrial losses in the region.

Planys Technologies (India Alliance)
Planys Technologies is TCR’s alliance partner in India for underwater robotic inspection. Incubated at IIT Madras and founded in 2015 by Tanuj Jhunjhunwala and Vineet Upadhyay, Planys designs and builds its own compact remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles at Chennai, and combines marine robotics with underwater non-destructive evaluation and post-inspection analysis.
The alliance closes a real gap. TCR’s robotic inspection practice reaches inside tanks, boiler headers and reformer tubes; it does not go underwater. Planys inspects submerged structure without a shutdown and without divers: jetty and berth substructure, dam and intake works, bridge piers and well below the waterline, penstocks and ship hulls. Paired with TCR’s NABL-accredited laboratory evidence, fitness-for-service engineering and its 500+ bridge inspection record across India, an owner gets one integrity opinion covering the structure above and below the water line, from two firms that each build their own robots.

Bizpeer (Korea Alliance)
Bizpeer is TCR's alliance partner in the Republic of Korea for vendor inspection. Founded in December 1994 and based at Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Bizpeer provides third-party inspection, expediting and technical consulting across shipbuilding, offshore plants, public works and industrial projects, offshore wind and power generation, with inspectors qualified in welding, NDT, coating, bending, high-pressure and rotating equipment, general mechanical parts and power electrical inspection.
The alliance runs in both directions. Bizpeer's stated case for it is that Korean owners and EPC contractors, among which it names Hyundai and POSCO, manufacture, install and commission in India, where TCR's laboratories and inspection crews are already accredited and resident; and that TCR's established position in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf gives Korean engineering contractors a route into those markets. In the other direction, TCR can call on Bizpeer's organisation and inspector base when a client's equipment is being built in Korea.

How many alliances does TCR hold, and why does it hold them?
Five. Each one covers a capability or a market TCR's own laboratory does not hold: Approved Group International for forensic investigation across Southeast Asia, Planys Technologies for underwater robotic inspection in India, Bizpeer for vendor inspection in Korea, Chugai Technos for Japan, and BIEWU International Trading for Qatar. An alliance is added when a client scope runs past the edge of the bench, not to lengthen a partner list.
Is an alliance partner a TCR subsidiary?
No. None of the five is owned by TCR. The separately incorporated group companies are TCR Arabia, TCR Advanced, TCR Eastern and TCR Northern, and they are listed under Global reach. In an alliance the testing, the interpretation and the signature stay with TCR; the partner brings its own market access or its own equipment.
What does the Planys Technologies alliance add?

Under the memorandum of understanding signed on 29 April 2026, TCR testing and asset integrity work reaches Japanese asset owners, and Chugai's drone structural inspection, the Scale Checker and Japanese-grade environmental testing reach Indian and Gulf owners. Because Korean owners and EPC contractors build, install and commission in India and the Gulf, where TCR is already accredited and resident, and TCR's clients build equipment in Korea, where Bizpeer has been inspecting since December 1994. The alliance runs in both directions and covers vendor inspection and expediting.
